What the primary record establishes

ERC-7802 gives bridges a common interface for minting tokens to an address and burning tokens from an address during cross-chain operations. Its events record the target address, quantity and caller. Integrators can use those common signatures across implementations that support the interface. ERC-7802 · Cross-chain Token Interface ↗

What the distinction changes

A bridge could request a mint after confirming a lock on a source chain. Safety depends on who can invoke the function, how the source message is authenticated and how replays are handled. Interface support tells an integrator which calls the token exposes.

What to check before drawing a conclusion

Review rejection of unauthorized callers, repeated delivery of the same message, and behavior after bridge permissions are revoked. Link the emitted event to a source transaction and a message identifier so the transfer can be reconstructed.
